Configure Griffin AirClick to work with any program
Authored by: tooki on Oct 20, '06 12:56:22AM

Space has long been the primary "next" button in presentation programs, including PowerPoint and Keynote as well as many long-deceased ones. Shift is normally used on the Mac to reverse direction of a command, so shift-space to go back is an entirely rational choice. Why space? Because when you're presenting, you shouldn't be paying attention to the computer. The space bar is, by far, the largest key on the keyboard, so it requires the least mental effort (= distraction) to press.

Fair enough, my observation was a bit subjective.

Either way, the ultimate point is that you can pretty much make any button on the remote do pretty much anything you can program via AppleScript.
