Send right mouse click via the keyboard in Firefox

This hint is truly wonderful. This breaks the last link of the chain tethering me to the mouse and trackpad.

But when I see all these comments on CTRL-space being already in use, they make me weep. My friends, this is not a matter of taste and opinion. There is One true Way to assign the precious spacebar-based keyboard shortcuts.

What is it? Hear me, hear me:

  • CTRL-Space -- unmapped, so it can be used by Firefox and the Emacsen, as God intended
  • ALT-Space -- quicksilver, the singlest most used keystroke when not doing heavy emacs work.
  • CMD-space -- dump spotlight and remap to "Move focus to menu bar", a much more useful command, since it makes every app keyboardable via its dropdown menus.
  • ALT-CMD-SPACE -- remap this to "Show spotlight search field", for when you do need it.

(Use the Keyboard & Mouse Preferences Pane's "Keyboard Shortcuts" tab for the last two remappings. )

Try this, and the heavens will smile all on you.

Most of my broswing is done on a laptop, so me simply moving my thumb to tap the track pad is very easy. If I primarily browsed on a desktop, I would definitely sure more keyboard shortcuts.
I'm not quite sure why my prefered choice of ctrl+space for quicksilver makes you weep, though the rest of the suggestions you have do indeed look nice.
