Load a web page on a set schedule
Authored by: bluehz on Aug 24, '06 11:24:50AM
I've been doing this for years in a script I call "morning_coffee" that gets executed every morning at 5am by cron. same basic idea - but I load multiple pages like this:
#!/bin/sh
open "http://www.macosxrumors.com" \
"http://macosxhints.com"  \
"http://url3.com" \
"http://url4.com"
I am not at my machine right now - but I have nice little featre built in that creates a new safari window then loads 7-10 urls (similar topics, etc grouped), then creates a new safari window and a new group, etc. Allows me to quickly peruse 30 pages or so with coffee.
