Good idea, but I have just one question.

Why would you keep a bunch of old SPAM around anyway? In my mind, the whole purpose of the Spam folder (I use SpamSieve) is to regularly select everything in there, and hit DELETE.

Then again, my volume of incoming mail is probably a lot less than other people's. (20 messages in a day is a lot)

Your very personal spam is actually a valuable resource. You can analyze it to improve spam filtering, test different filters against it, you can train statistical filters with it... I'm keeping compressed archives of old spam and after a while burn it to CD.

I don't keep it around, but I don't sort it immediately either. There are usually one or two false positives a week in my Spam folder, so I still have to scan it. I do this once a day or so...
