Avoid an odd iCal/iPod calendar name synching issue
WOW! I just got online to search for a PDA or Handheld that might help me get organized. I recently bought a MacBook Pro and am hoping iCal and the iLife apps can help me simplify life. Tonight I go online and see this post - YOU CAN SYNCH iCal TO AN IPOD? So should I just buy an iPod instead of some handheld thing like a Treo? I'm buried w/ sticky notes and lost scrap papers and hoping to finally become organized. I was thinking a fancy new PDA or maybe even one of those cell phones that synchs up w/ a laptop might help me have my To Do lists with me but could an iPod be my answer? Please advise!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) -Buster

Yes, you can keep your contacts and calendars (from Address Book and iCal -- there might be conduits for other apps, but I haven't researched that) on an iPod. You can also keep text notes on there, and there are a lot of projects based on that (including an iPod version of Wikipedia, I think).

Get a Treo/Palm, MemoPad 2000/2100, Psion, PocketPC, or a cell phone with BlueTooth. It's nice and all to be able to look up this information on your iPod, but the inability to ENTER data (with the iPod) makes it a real pain. |
