Burn with an 'unsupported' Pioneer 111D DVD writer

Great burner. Stumbled across it while I was searching for a DVD drive for my old PowerMac G3 350.

After searching to no avail for a 110, I thought I'd take a risk and get a 111 seeing as I plan on building a Core 2 Duo PC I figured if I fail, I will use it in that.

No such trouble. Is bootable, mounts cd's, dvd's, the works. Haven't tried burning anything using it yet.

Very pleased with the build quality of the pioneer drive. Simple, clean, very mac like. And also it fits in my G3 tower perfectly. No need to remove the the tray bezel, just slides smoothly back into the tower without snagging.

Best of all, it makes DVD playback alot smoother and quicker than my Al G4 PowerBook 1.25Ghz.
