There is a standalone program that does this called iPhoto Export.app. No installing to iPhoto necessary.

I just found it and tried it once. It seems to work.

Problem is, you can't do any new templates/customization with this...which is why I like the HTMLExport option better...

Actually the templates are editable. Right click on the iPhoto Export.app and select "Show Package Contents." The templates are easy to find and editable in any text or HTML editor.

It's good but _much_ slower than CustomHTMLExport. But then again, since I've upgraded to Flash 9, CustomHTMLExport is still having trouble with flash_detect.js. The only way I'm getting a result is to comment out the call on this script in the index.html page. Mmm. I'll also be looking at www.slideshowpro.net now - thanks to who ever it was that mentioned that one.
