Install Windows Vista in Virtual PC 7
Authored by: huntercr on Jun 12, '06 12:37:10PM

Some other tips that have helped me:

-- once you've seen all the flashy stuff, go back to classic mode. This makes it *almost* usable :)

-- Don't forget to install the "Virtual Machine Additions" !! Even though they are intended for Win XP, they *do* work on Vista ( well, at least the public beta2 ) This will allow your video card to be recognized properly and allow the "seamless" mouse.

I have yet to get the virtual ethernet card, or sound to operate properly.
Also once you install the VM additions, the proper ethernet card driver will be avaialble in the device manager. Why it still doesn't work is beyond me.

Supposedly the soundblaster 16 PCI drivers for XP work, but I had no such luck.
something else to try... I haven't done this, but it might work alot better. make a XP image and then performe an upgrade of it.
Has anyone tried this?
