Save all Mail attachments via easy drag and drop
Authored by: kmyc on Jun 02, '06 09:35:39PM

Recently, I need to roll out all the attachment of my emails (over 1500), I find a way to do it.

1. Sort the mail by sender and attachment;

2. Select a group of mail of reasonable attachment size;

3. Click the "Forward" Button;

4. Save the draft;

5. Go to "Draft Folder" and locate this "forwarded" mail;

6. Save all the attachment to the folder that I assign.

Actually, I also find a way to group print all mails. After sorting the mails and group selecting them, PDF print them into a folder. Then use the "Combine PDFs" Automator action (downloaded from MacOSX download) to combine them.

I use the above method to roll out all my mail and let someone to print them out.

Love Apple, only limitation is imagination.

Mail now stores all attachments in ~/Library/Mail Downloads which should make your life easier (though I think this first started with Tiger's version of Mail).
