Send multiple modifier keystrokes in one step

(splutter!) That's cool? Well, I suppose it's cool knowing you don't actually have to sprain your hand trying to hit three modifier keys and an alpha key all at once. As a switcher, it strikes me as really odd that Windows uses fewer modifier keys than Mac, which is almost up there with Emacs or something.

That reminds me, is it possible to change key-bindings easily on OS X? I almost never want to clip formatting with text, and in fact the thing I use most often is the aforesaid three-modifier-keys-and-an-alpha for Paste-and-Match-Style, because I'm doing collaborative writing, and cutting-and-pasting between Skype and TextEdit is really awkward... I'd actually reverse it to CMD-V for Paste-and-Match-Style, because I don't want to carry the formatting with it about nine times out of ten.
