A simple fix for sound output issues
Authored by: jtalle on May 18, '06 12:23:59PM

I've had this problem with no sound in Quicktime movies - such as the ones on onegoodmove.org - and everything I'd tried didn't work. I dumped plugins, reinstalled Quicktime, futzed with settings, and nothing worked. The Audio/Midi setup showed that I already had the correct bitrates set - 41K/2ch - so I was baffled, sad to say. What's worse is that I actually paid for Quicktime Pro.

And just now I figured what the heck and used the Audio/Midi setup to change the bitrate to 32K/1ch - and then changed it back to the standard settings. I did it for input and output. Well, whaddyaknow...

Now I can sit back and ponder the mystery of all that wasted effort while I listen to Quicktime movies embedded in websites, thanks to my freshly repaired quicktime plugin...
