I found this hack stayed in place until I restarted iPhoto. I didn't need to do the ctrl+caps+kp9 each time.

Strange -- it definitely vanishes each time I exit Edit mode on my G5...

The advanced mode still works after I quit the edition mode.

In portuguese keyboard the [ is alt-8 and the ] is alt-9 though it's not marked on the keyboard, maybe in the french layout the keys are the same!

I see that others mention non-US locales.... I'm running English (UK) English. Maybe that might make a difference?

I figured it out (and modified the original hint). If you edit in a separate window, then the advanced mode will be disabled each time you edit an image.

Has anyone been able to find a way to have these available all the time without going through the steps each time? Could an Apple Script or Automater be used? Thanks for any info. JB |
