Mousless iCal event editing
I forced myself to switch from Entourage to iCal/Mail/Address about two months ago and this was the first obvious irritating difference. I figured out the tab thing. Note that when you engage a menu using the space bar it understands touch typing just like the finder (such as tab to alarm, space to engage, then just type email), but it's still slow and uses too many strokes to get around. Anyone know a way to set the preferences to a 1 hour alarm? or remove some of those items? I've tried Quickeys, but it's not reliable.

I've hated the fact that iCal had no preset alarm function, till I found this genius little add-on called iCalFix which does just that- sets an alarm a day before event new event you create. The time in advance is changed with a little muddling with the plist file, but doable. Make sure to get the 0.3.1 version off the site.
I've asked the author of this to fix it so iCal will tell you about time conflicts between appts. when you make them for the next version. This can only be done by visually inspecting the day or week view right now, so if anyone know a way around this now, let us know!
