The keyboard shortcut in Panther and Tiger is Command-Shift-T

Whaddya know... So that explains why I've got a bunch of aliases in my Favorites folder. I must have hit that key combo from time to time by accident.

Curious that this is undocumented - since the Favorites folder will show up in the sidebar when if you update from Jaguar to either Panther or Tiger, it assumes that you may want to use it.

It's kind-of documented ;-) If you click on the File menu in the Finder and press the Shift key, "Add to Sidebar" changes to "Add to Favorites."

I believe this has been the case since Panther.

Ok, undocumented as in "Not in the Help". This said, Help finds an AppleCare document that says that Command-T adds items to favorites... Weird that they're so out of date...
