You can also set up an Automator Workflow to delete file(s)/folder(s) which recur with the same name(s) in the same path. Such Workflow, when saved in your Library/Workflows/Applications/Finder becomes available through the Automator contextual menu in the Finder. You can use, for example, 'Delete Items' found in Delete Files.action at: http://homepage.mac.com/jrmiddle/Scripts/

It's better to set 'browser.bookmarks.max_backups' option in about:config page to 0. Firefox won't backup bookmarks anymore after this.
