Resolve Macbook Pro trackpad response issue
Authored by: willdaddy on Apr 26, '06 08:45:39AM
The fix is easy enough: go to System Preferences Keyboard and Mouse Trackpad, and check Ignore accidental trackpad input. I turned that feature off and I haven't had any further problems with the trackpad not responding.
So are you supposed to check it (turn it on), or turn it off. The hint seems to contradict itself.

Resolve Macbook Pro trackpad response issue
Authored by: hollywoodpix on Dec 20, '10 05:09:58PM

I have two macbook pro 15" machines..and a 17" macbook pro-
The 15's have a similar problem in that often the trackpad is completely useless..grabs and drags and opens menu dialogue boxes when IT wants to. this seem to happen way more in the cold of early mornings..WHY?
my 17 NEVER has done this.
And just for the record the 'easy' FIX" requires a menu item I cannot find...?
I am using Snow Leopard.
any ideas??
