10.4: Prevent hang after login of Active Directory User
Authored by: MacMuse26 on Apr 22, '06 07:25:10AM

30 minutes left in my work week. I'm struggling with a PM G5 and a user's missing folder of active projects data files (graphic artist). As backup, she needs to at least send a font set out to a printer to help fix a PDF that she can't fix herself at the moment.

OK. I grab the fonts and plop them on a server. Going to a co-worker's Mac to retrieve and transmit the fonts, this user shows me her freshly booted screen...
* the desktop image
* no dock
* just a Spotlight icon, the rest of the menu bar is not present

Happy weekend to me. :(

But now I have hope !! This system does have AFP mounts in the login items !!! Salvation !!!!

Thank you.
