And CTRL-Up Arrow or CTRL-Down Arrow takes you to the top, or bottom, of the drop-down menu list, respectively.

If you choose "Show All", the resulting Finder-like window lets you use Cmd-Down to open a selected item, as in a normal Finder window. Cmd-Opt-Down works normally, too: it will open the selected item and simultaneously close the results window.
