.Mac Backup 3, iTunes 6, and purchased videos

I had a similar problem with iTunes only showing 175Mb of Purchased Music but Backup finding over 8Gb!

Using the hint above as a starting point I created a copy of the com.apple.iTunes.PurchasedMusic.quickpick and then edited the DefinitionPlist.strings file to remove references to video files and reference to file type 1295270432 (this seems to gather all bookmarkable files - which had included all my Audible.com audiobooks and all my podcasts).

So my new DefinitionPlist.strings file looks like this

"Node Specifications" = (
{
"Graft Paths" = ({doNotCrossFilesystemBoundaries = 1; pattern = "~/Music/iTunes"; });
"Node Specification Archive Version" = 1;
Operation = Include;
"Prune Paths" = ();
Qualifier = "(typeCode = 1751868514) or (typeCode = 1295274016) or (node.name.pathExtension = 'm4p') or (typeCode = 1295275552) or (node.name.pathExtension = 'pdf') or (node.name.pathExtension = 'xml')";
"User Action" = Log;
}
);
"Atomic" = 1;
"QuickPick Definition Archive Version" = "1";
"DocumentType" = 0;

and Backup is now only selecting 237Mb to backup to my iDisk - much more manageable, though I may still play around to get closer to the figure of just 175Mb.

Thanks for the hint(s) showing me which files to fiddle with.
