The poster of this hint indicates that they tried this, but I do not believe that this will work. The original hint makes this work by creating a partition for each architecture. Netboot images can only have one partition.

By overlaying Mac OS X for Intel on top of a PowerPC installation, the other hinter created a single partition that would boot both. Read it before you comment further.
