Wow, this is great! Since I consireded to buy a TV solution and because I don't like cables, I'm very happy to hear about this easy way to stream TV over my network. But could you tell me something about the image quality? I once had a TV tuner card in my old wintel box which had a very noisy image. I think this was because the screen resolution was just so high, that every little error was really good visible. How about this eyeTV thing?

if you watch standard broadcasts on your monitor full-screen, it's not going to look great because of the resolution. you can do HD via the eyeTV 500 if that's your cup of tea.

in my opinion the quality of eyeTV is excellent.
as long as you have decent digital signal in your area (and use a proper aerial not the bundled toothpick) it should work fine.
