iLife '06

I've been using this hint for months, and it works great. However...

I just upgraded to iLife '06. When you first launch the new iPhoto, it asks to update your iPhoto library. (You must either comply or quit.) When iPhoto examined my iPhoto library before updating, it said I didn't have proper permissions. This problem occurred both in my account and my wife's.

Here's how I had to fix it: I moved my iPhoto library out of Users:Shared onto my Desktop, held down Option while opening iPhoto so it would ask where to find my iPhoto library, than pointed it to the iPhoto library's new location on the Desktop. It updated the iPhoto library with no problems.

Then I quit iPhoto, moved the iPhoto library back into Users:Shared, and Option-opened iPhoto again. When it asked where to find my iPhoto library, I directed it to the correct location.

Everything seems to be fine now. I switched to my wife's account (after quitting iPhoto in my account, of course) and opened iPhoto -- it worked perfectly with the newly updated iPhoto library.
