Speed the Finder by hiding desktop icons

Backdrop doesn't hide the desktop; it acts as a layer between the desktop and other apps. The desktop is still there, as you see when you hide Backdrop.

Kirk's right, of course -- not sure what I was thinking :). I'm not sure if DeskShade does something different to the desktop or not, but a quick test with QuartzDebug shows that nothing changes in terms of open windows when Backdrop is running.

My bad!
