Possibly fix one display profile problem
Authored by: landis on Mar 13, '06 09:10:02AM
I'm pretty sure this is actually a nasty bug that was introduced with Fast User Switching and OS X.4 (Tiger). It is extremely annoying and even though it's been around since X.4.0 and reported, it still hasn't been fixed as of X.4.5.

If you have profiled your monitor, and you use Fast User Switching, you'll end up with this generic profile and all of your proper profiles are gone and can't be selected. It will go away if you restart. You can avoid it altogether by logging out of one account and into another (skipping the Fast User Switching menu).

It's been posted before in this hint. I just have an alias to /System -> Library -> Frameworks -> ApplicationServices.framework -> Versions -> A -> Frameworks -> CoreGraphics.framework -> Versions -> A -> Resources -> DMProxy on my desktop and double-click it after a switch. It then opens Terminal, the colors get better, I close Terminal, and I'm done until I next FUS.
