A fix for a very slow contextual menu in the Finder
Real issue is Stuffit CM plug in. I have thousands of pictures in my folders and see them with a CM (viewpick). But with Stuffit CM installed, it can take up to 2 -3 MINUTES to load the CM. I have shared this with the Stuffit folks at every release and nothing ever happened. I simply don't use it anymore
A fix for a very slow contextual menu in the Finder
If you are using StuffItCM on a folder that contains thousands of items, then yes, it will be slow. Think about it, StuffItCM has to open and examine each of those items to see if they contain archive contents that can be browsed. It's a quick check, but multiply it by 1000's and you get the idea.
