And how are either of these better than just doing:

File->Print->Layout

and then choosing "2" pages per sheet?

2-up printing doesn't allow you to saddle-stich them final output and view it as a true booklet.

If you had a 4 page document, they would be ordered 1,2 and 3,4 which is not correct if you want a booklet. You need to reorder the pages to 4,1 and 2,3 which is what these programs do.
