Open a specific man page section via URL
Apologies for plugging my own application, but ManOpen also supports x-man-page URLs, including the style described in this hint. It has a preference pane to change the default x-man-page setting away from Terminal.

ManOpen is great.
I set up a mozilla keyword bookmark in Camino for
x-man-page://, and now I can use Quicksilver or a quick man «command» in the browser to open man pages.

I like ManOpen but on my OS X 10.5.8 only one preference pane will open so I am unable to change the default to x-man-page.

I have just installed it on Tiger and all preference panes work OK but whilst I can set ManOpen as the default I cannot find any plist entry for it. I assume that it must change something elsewhere. |
