10.4.4 update (Belkin Print Server)
Authored by: medianick on Feb 09, '06 03:13:59AM

Thanks for the 10.4.4 update.

However, I've spent a few hours without much success on my new Intel iMac. All Win PCs on the network can print wirelessly to the Belkin F1UP0001 but still not the Mac. I've pinged it and the Mac can see it OK. I've tried various GIMP drivers - the closest being Canon BJC-55 (I'm assuming that refers to my printer which is the i550). The Mac previously printed to the i550 directly via USB (as per Belkin's instruction).

I've set the ip address as per the other PCs and the queue as lp1 but no success!

I can only think of two problems: the printer is in the other queue, lp2, or there is a network problem. Did you try the other queue too?

I sometimes can't print, but at such moment I can't ping it neither. Switching the printserver off and on always works.
If you can ping, and probably also access the web interface, all should work.
Maybe you have a firewall running somewhere? Either on your Mac or between your Mac and the printserver? I believe it prints on the printer port TCP 515.

Let us know if you located the problem.
