Another way to add iSync support for certain phones
Authored by: egilDOTnet on Feb 08, '06 03:20:59PM

I testet this on Nokia 9300, and it really is the exact same code as has been hinted about on MacOSXhints.com before. Actually, this is a little worse, because it uses an ugly icon to identify the phone with as well.

The easyest way to get Nokia 9300 support is to download my compiled script <a href="http://egil.net/Nokia9300.phoneplugin.zip">here</a>, and then unzip it in your personal Library/PhonePlugins folder (create it if it does not exist). Then follow the original instructions for adding phones as stated earlier on this site.

the easyest way ever
found on mac site
do this an it works

For iSync v 2.3.

Just go to your apps folder, Ctrl-click iSync.app, choose "Show package content"

Then go Contents->PlugIns->ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice->Contents->PlugIns->Nokia-9300i.phoneplugin->Contents->Resources

Open file MetaClasses.plist with Property List Editor

Change string
Root->com.nokia.9300i->Identification->com.apple.cgmi+cgmm
From Nokia+Nokia 9300i to Nokia+Nokia 9300
(Remove "i")

That's all
