10.4: Recover missing menubar icons in 10.4.4
Here's an alternative to Rob's stickie notes idea.
If you're a programmer, consider writing every change you do into a shell script! I have an awesome, custom "tweak_system.sh" script that I run to apply any of my standard changes to a new System. If your changes involves edits to a lot of files, just make those edits to local files (in your Home), and then have the script replace the originals w/ links to your custom files. Might want to make a backup of the file you're replacing first, though. Just my $0.02. Oh yeah, there's a new hint on disappearing menu items here.
