Open QuickTime Player's Info window at launch

Hmm. Can you describe in more detail how to reproduce the automatic Info panel opening behavior?

My test case (10.4.4, latest QuickTime):
- Open movie. Note that no Info panel is open.
- Select Window->Show Movie Info. Note that Info panel is now open.
- option1: quit QuickTime player immediately. Reopen same movie file. Result: Info panel is not open at next launch.
or
- option2: close movie window. Note that the Info panel is still open, with no data displaying. Quit QuickTime Player and reopen same movie file. Result: Info panel is not open at next launch.

Oh, great, I've had the info panel staying open for as long as I can remember (just by hitting cmd-I) but I went through your little procedure to confirm and now that "feature" is broken. I'm guessing the sticky info window behavior was set somewhere back in QT6 by having the app set the plist key and that has now been disabled in QT7 for some ungodly reason...

That sounds plausible.

Open QuickTime Player's Info window at launch

It's funny : I always had the info window opened when I launched QT Player, even if no video was opened. Even with 10.4.4 and last version of QT... Always.

But, since I read this hint, I made the test... So I launched QT Player (with Info window opened, naturally). And I closed the Info window before quitting the Player, just for the test...

And, now, when I launch the Player, there's no Info window opened at launching. Too bad :-)

I think it would have been better not to read this hint and not to do the test... :-))
