Open QuickTime Player's Info window at launch
I'm pretty sure I just left the info window open one time when I closed Quicktime Player and it has been coming up every time since. I know I didn't do any of this tomfoolery.

That's exactly what I was thinkin. The Info window is always opened when I launch QuickTime Player, and it's just because it was kept opened when I left the Player. No code, no plist editing is necessary for that.

Hmm. Can you describe in more detail how to reproduce the automatic Info panel opening behavior?

Oh, great, I've had the info panel staying open for as long as I can remember (just by hitting cmd-I) but I went through your little procedure to confirm and now that "feature" is broken. I'm guessing the sticky info window behavior was set somewhere back in QT6 by having the app set the plist key and that has now been disabled in QT7 for some ungodly reason...

That sounds plausible.

It's funny : I always had the info window opened when I launched QT Player, even if no video was opened. Even with 10.4.4 and last version of QT... Always. |
