Use a Brother MFC-420CN as networked card reader
If you have an FTP app that supports Rendezvous (I mean, Bonjour), you may not even need to find the IP address yourself. Or, write down the printer name one time, instead of looking up the IP every time.

i'm not sure about the slowness, but I bought this printer for my parents and it's the first printer [i've own canon, HP, epson, lexmark] that is just as equal in features as the PC version! I liked it so much that I bought myself the MFC-5440CN :)

My wife's dell box won't install all of the software for the mf420cn properly. she can't scan. XP made her jump through hoops for 4 hours and all she can do is print. |
