Add Motorola RAZR V3i support to iSync

Does this only apply to this specific version of the V3i, or do you know if it can also be done with other V3 versions? Verizon Wireless (my carrier) just started selling the Motorola RAZR V3c phone recently, which has both bluetooth and USB connections. I was thinking about getting one as an upgrade to my aging phone, but I would want to make sure I could use iSync with it. (will be a first for me with a sync compatible phone)

When I look on Apple's iSync page, it lists the Moto RAZR V3 as compatible, but I don't know if the extra "c" in the V3c makes a difference. Anyone have any experience with this?

The V3c works w/o modifications.

I've been unable to get a V3c to work... Suspect it's Verizon that's crippled the phone. Who's your provider?

Well, after i posted my original query, I did a google search and found this thread which has information on how to get the V3c to work with iSync, either over BT or a USB connection.

It doesn't look too complicated, and somewhere down the thread someone even provides a modified .plist file you can download and drop in place.

Hope that helps. I'll be sure to keep that handy if I get a V3c.

Thanks --- this pretty much nails it. Allows iSync via USB (but not by Bluetooth) and File Browsing by Bluetooth (but not by USB). Not perfect, but for a Verizon phone it's a big help.
