Create non-contiguous selections in Cocoa apps

Doesn't work for me; if I triple-click on a text line in mail, I cannot deselect words - neither by command-double- or single-clicking, nor by command-dragging. Anything I'm missing here?

Command-DOUBLE-clicking works for me in TextEdit but not in Camino.

Camino's content area isn't Cocoa, but rather Carbon, and that's why it doesn't work.
