Automatically reformat text pasted into Cocoa apps
Authored by: MtnBiker on Jan 05, '06 09:44:39AM

Rules are meant to be broken. I've been a Mac user for 21 years, and it's hard to remember all the changes (I find myself trying some Word 5.1 shortcuts now and again—of course they don't work), and although I had been made aware of this one, I need reminders that it exists.

And with the way Apple has made text formatting more difficult in OS X (IMHO), anything that simplifies text handling is good.

In fact, maybe you could run "obvious" hints over again or "did you knows?" But then again maybe you don't need more work, but a once a week feature might be worth a try; maybe only when things slow down after a new OS release.

Did you know?

I second the "Did you know?" category idea. Perfect. Since the user can customize their view of the site, if someone doesn't want to read them, they can just choose not to.

Keep them coming!

Or maybe even just a random hint of the day from past years. It would be easier to program as the script would just have to pick randomly from the database, and would probably be just as handy.
