10.4: Use Preview to view formatted man pages

This tip need not be limited to Tiger.

You can translate and open formatted postscript man pages with Preview in Panther or any of the earlier versions of OS X with this Unix one-liner:

man -t whatever >/tmp/"tmp.ps"; open /tmp/"tmp.ps"

Or simply: man -t name | open -f -a Preview
