Half an hour of wasted time??? It takes my G5 about 40 seconds to boot from the CD.

I guess you have some sort of magical way of doing things with your machine while booted on the DVD install? Really let us know, even if there was Tetris I think everyone would be happy!

I have a very hard time believing you can boot a G5 from CD in ~40 seconds. Care to share specific details (hardware, CD media/content) for anyone who'd like to try recreating that claim?
