A possible fix for unplayable Windows Media files
Authored by: kuginomura on Dec 14, '05 09:41:12AM

the main problem with VLC and WMP9 is that they don't play WMV3 files...only the PC-only WMP10 plays WMV3 files. maybe it's not a problem with VLC, rather a stupid Microsoft problem again, not updating WMP9 to play those WMV3 files.

Geez, it is about time these guys got a mention here! I've been searching hints and forums for flip4mac for weeks. A very useful tool and well worth the ~$10...... The best way to handle Window media sh*t. Unfortunately, like MicroSucks Player for Mac, it doesn't do 10 content.
