You need 1 GB of RAM and Tiger to run Aperture. If you don't and you were so inclined, I guess you can just change the limitations: open the file info.plist (on the Aperture.app bundle) and change this

<key>AELMinimumRAMSize</key>
<string>1000</string>
to

<key>AELMinimumRAMSize</key>
<string>700</string>
that might work. though I have more RAM than that and don't have the interest to take it out to test.

It works, but the number has to be lower than the amount of RAM you have (e.x. I have 512MB of RAM so I entered 500)
