Purge custom patterns to improve Photoshop load time
Authored by: DizzyPenguin on Dec 09, '05 08:11:32AM

To temporarely or completly disable any Pattern and stop it loading at launch, just add a "~" to the front of the file or folder name that you want to disable.

This also works for any Presets and Plug-Ins that you rarely (or never... think Digimarc or other stuff that comes with Photoshop) use and speeds up Photoshop's launch time without deleting any files. You can restore them by removing the "~".
