Avoid creation of those pesky ._ and .ds_store files
There's still one target not covered: Trash folders on memory cards / sticks.
It's a plague that MacOS X creates them on usb sticks, memory cards of phones and cameras and so on.

Trash folder on digicam
I was importing a TON of pix from my digital camera and I didn't want to do the old "Impmort and delete" just in case iPhoto crashed during importing. Instead, I just waited until the import was finished, then deleted the images through the finder, and forgot to empty the trash... I went back out to take photos and could only fit about 20 pictures on my cam and had no idea why.
It definitely would be nice to be able to disable trash on a per-volume basis...
