sorry but I think almost everything dragged with the option button pushed
is copied where you drag it, or not?

yes, the info window do this too, but in my opinion do it because everything everywhere in the system do it.

I just moved a folder by clicking on the icon in the title-bar and dragging it to a new location. Crazy short cut, very very cool. It's just all those little things that make Mac so freakin awesome.

IMO, that's the safest way to move a folder to the trash. Drag the title bar icon of the open Finder window (hold it for a second to grab it) to the trash so you can see the contents of the folder while you delete it. One of my favorite features from Mac OS 9.
