Replace a broken AirPort slot in older PowerBooks
Authored by: demmons65 on Nov 21, '05 02:34:00PM

I had a similar issue with my TiBook earllier this summer.

What I found fixed my problem was carefully detaching the cable coming from the Airport slot where it plugs into the motherboard. I then made sure there was no obvious damage to the connector (under magnification) and carefully reconnected it. It felt much more secure after I reconnected it and the Airport began working immediately upon power up and continues to work today.
