Just in case anyone's confused, it's actually cmd+`, not cmd+~ (which would involve using the shift key).

These don't work if you have another application in front, like IE or Mozilla. Command-+ wil make your fonts bigger and Command-~ cycles browser windows.

What I do miss is in OS X 10.0, clicking on the Finder's icon in the Dock would open a new Finder window, even if one was open. Now it just brings the Finder to the front. :(

The only way now, I think, is to buy Quickeys and set a shortcut with that action
