My experiences with eyeHome and Neuston
Authored by: macslut on Nov 14, '05 09:19:38AM

I tried this out over the weekend. The Neuston software kinda works with the eyeHome and 10.4.3, but there was some definite bugginess. On the other hand, eyeHome definitely always had some rough edges in terms of reliability and doesn't work at all with 10.4.3.

The question I have for someone with both the Neuston software and hardware is...does the Neuston hardware perform reliably well with its own software?

If so, I'm thinking about buying a unit.

The Neuston product seems to offer a *lot* of advantages to the eyeHome to make it worth the extra $$$. Unfortunately, their site doesn't give a whole bunch of information, such as...how does the USB port work with a hard drive? Can you use the Neuston with just a USB hard drive filled with media content (and no network or computer)?

I sent them a mail with some questions two days ago, but so far no reply. It is rather strange that they dont trumpet their product on mac sites as it is filling a gap in mac product line.
