calling all geniuses!!

iMac G3 500
Panther 10.3.9 (7W98)
Modem Information:

Modem Model: Spring
Firmware Version: APPLE VERSION 0007, 7/31/2000
Country: 22 (United States,.....)
Driver: com.apple.driver.AppleSCCSerial (v1.2.6)
Interface Type: Serial
SKU Name: UCJ
Modulation: V.90
Hardware Version: 7.0F

I can get -SDR=2 to work in Z-term but not with the fax software.

I open Z-term and send <at -sdr=2> then I call from my cell to the DR number and ZT say 'RING2', If I call the main number it says nothing.
If I send<at -sdr=1> i get nada on the fax line but 'RING" when i call the main number

When I put the added code in as the hint says:
If I use faxSTF directly it doesnt even answer
If I check the 'answer faxes' box in preferences it answers all calls

If I remove the added line of code then faxSTF answers all calls as before and Z-term says all rings are 'RING'
