Watch movies in the Software Update window

If you examine the SUAppWindow.nib file in the Software Update package contents with the developer tools, you'll see that the bottom pane of that split view is just a 'WebView'. So the fact that you can run quicktime movies in it is a side-effect of the flexible architecture they used.

You'll notice also that you can drag text files, images, etc. into that window. Probably anything you can drag-and-drop into Safari will also display in Software Update.

Gotta love the power of resuable components!

OMG! Try dragging a .webloc (URL clipping) into the bottom half of the window!

This is so funny...

The links do pass through to the default browser.
