Hinding the Dock 2
Just wanted to say that this key combination (Cmd-Opt D) is available from everywhere, not just the Finder. It is in the Apple menu.
Hinding the Dock: Is There A Way?
Does anyone know how to change the key command to hide and show the dock? I would like to change it to control-option-command-z. I know that it's kind of a wierd key combo but it is what I used to use to hide/show my control strip. it is easier for my fingers to get to and I am sure no other app will use it. Although I wonder if just control-command-z would have any conflict problems? It is even easier for my fingers to get to. Anyone who knows how? it would be greatly appreciated.

Use fruitmenu! you can set keycombinations for the apple menu in there, and the dock's combination is set in the apple menu, so all you have to do is download it from versiontracker, good luck

I don't see any way to set key combinations with fruitmenu. Am I missing something?

Posting that led to me finding it.

Its a question, actually. I need option-command-d for frequently used functions in both Quark and Photoshop. How can I edit it to something else or disable it? I never have the dock showing all the time anyhow. |
