Avoid high kernel_task utilization on 2005 PowerBooks
Authored by: Sidd on Oct 31, '05 04:21:26PM

I had this problem ... kernel running at 7.00 percent while system was idle; installing SideTrack brought that down to 0.9 percent.

I just uninstalled SideTrack and then installed the 10.4.3 update. Now kernel utilization is about 2.3 to 2.4 percent.

Since I like the Apple trackpad driver over SideTrack, I guess I'll stick with it rather than reinstalling SideTrack -- even though there is still room for improvement.
